Who Am I in Christ?

My life has centered round church and church music since I was young. I began accompanying a children’s choir when I was about ten. As a teen I felt God calling me to ministry. I answered His call but I didn’t know what He was calling me to do. I sensed that God had gifted me in the area of music and I decided to pursue that as a profession. As a young married adult I felt His call again. I began to search the Scriptures because I wanted everything God had for me. In the early 1970’s Reverend Cliff Palmer came to our church as our new pastor. It was new to hear the Bible explained precept upon precept. Hearing entire books of the Bible taught increased my understanding. The deeper truths of the Scriptures came alive to me. I came to realize it was my blueprint for life. In the 1980s we moved to Oklahoma. I served there on the staff of a church in Stillwater as director of childhood education. While we were there the church started backyard Bible Clubs. As a result we had several children who came to know Christ. I looked for a new believer’s book that I could use to help them establish habits of growth in God’s Word. That was the beginning of the vision for this book. In the 1990s Premier Designs, Inc. opened a door to ministry for me outside the walls of the church. I have seen God use this Company to touch the lives of thousands around the world for Christ. I have been privileged to stand before hundreds of women myself, in small and large groups, and share with them that they are uniquely designed and valued by God. Recently, my husband Rick and I left our home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where I served as organist at South Tulsa Baptist Church, and moved to Northwest Arkansas for a work opportunity. Our family has gone through challenging times while here. Yet, God is faithful. No matter what dagger the enemy continues to hurl at us we know: “God’s Word is Truth! Stand there!”
